New route
The Marathon Trail features a completely new course. Instead of the previous two-loop format, the route now takes runners on one big, continuous loop through the Kitzbühel Alps.
Starting in Fieberbrunn, the route leads via the Gebra Chapel towards Aurach. From there, it follows the border between Tyrol and Salzburg before heading back to Fieberbrunn.
Expect technical uphills, challenging downhills, varied trails and breathtaking panoramic views. The new course combines a demanding sporting challenge with a true alpine trail running experience, putting your endurance, technique and trail running skills to the test.
The GPX route is now available online for orientation. Please note that minor adjustments to the course may still be made, which is why the GPX file is not yet available for download.
